Job Description

Benchmark Corp is a rapidly growing organization that specializes in helping customers with their digital transformation within the Canadian market. We are looking for a bilingual individual to join our team covering Eastern Canada, working with our sales teams in Ottawa and Montreal. This role will include supporting both public sector (primarily Federal Government) and commercial/enterprise accounts within the region. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail oriented and dynamic individual that enjoys working in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with account executives in the day-to-day interaction with end users as well as the development and on-boarding of new clients

  • Build, develop and maintain active communication with Account Executives and clients through phone, email or in person

  • Participation in client meetings and presentations

  • Identify and submit opportunity registrations where applicable along with an understanding of registration programs through multiple partners

  • Preparation of quotations, order processing and invoicing within Benchmark’s guidelines

  • Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturer and distribution contacts

  • Driving net new opportunities with unassigned accounts to promote Benchmark’s key pillars

  • Assisting with federal government procurement opportunities including navigating portals for posted bids

  • Assisting account executives with the completion of bids in response to RFQ/RFP

  • Ability to work with and knowledge of contract vehicles (SLSA, TBIPS, PISA, CPSV, etc.)

  • Create various reports for the sale team ensuring they are timely and relevant

  • Recommend opportunities for operational and process improvement within the ISR role

  • Handle any special projects as assigned by management

  • Assist team members where required

  • Completion of applicable sales certifications

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bilingual English and French

  • 4-5 years experience in sales support position, ideally in the IT space

  • Federal Government experience a priority, comfort within the portals an asset

  • University/College diploma/degree is preferred

  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment while functioning well under pressure
